Congratulations to the Wildcat Marching Band for their outstanding performance on 10/30 the "LaFayette Marching Classic" at Fayette County High School.
In Prelims the Band placed 1st in the Class 4A division, receiving all Superior ratings for Band, Percussion, and Color Guard. The color guard and percussion also placed placed 1st in Class.
The top 8 scoring bands, regardless of class, were advanced to the Finals that evening. We drew the coveted last performance time, 9:00pm, and when it was all said and done the Wildcat Marching Band was named "Grand Champions" for the entire show!! We also received Sweepstakes Awards for "Best Visual", "Best Effect" and "Best Music" for the evening.
This is the 1st time the Wildcat Marching Band as ever won TWO Grand Championships in one season.

Congratulations to the Wildcat Marching Band for their outstanding performance last Saturday the "Vahalla Classic" at Northgate High School. The Band placed 1st in the Class 3A division, receiving all Superior ratings for Band, Percussion, Drum Major and Color Guard. The color guard placed 1st in Class 3A, percussion placed 3rd and Drum Major Kelson Van Gunst placed 2nd. They were named "Gold Division Champions", receiving the highest score for Class 3A and 4A. They were also awarded Overall Best "Color Guard", "Visual Effect" and "General Effect" for the Gold Division.
In overall competition the Wildcat Marching Band was named "Grand Champion" for the entire show!!

Congratulations to the Wildcat Marching Band for their outstanding performance last Saturday the "Super Bowl of Sound" at Central-Carroll High School.
The Band placed 1st in the Class 4A division, receiving all Superior ratings for Band, Percussion, Drum Major and Color Guard. Color Guard placed 1st in Class, Percussion placed 2nd in Class and Drum Majors placed 3rd in Class.
In overall competition the Wildcat Marching Band finished 2nd, receiving the 2nd place Overall Band Award, out of 24 Bands competing. The Color guard finished 3rd Overall and the Percussion finisihed 4th overall.
We were also awarded the "Overall Outstanding Woodwind Section" Award!!

The Band Booster meeting for next Tuesday, June 15, 2010, has been cancelled. Our next booster meeting will be held the second week of band camp on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 7:00 pm. This meeting will be mandatory for all marching parents, so please mark your calendars.
